Jillian Straus

Jillian Straus is the founder and principal of Straus Strategic Communications. She is a media consultant, presentation trainer and speechwriter for CEOs of the world’s largest e-commerce companies, executives of Fortune 500 companies, founders of successful startups, professional athletes at the top of their game, A-list celebrities, supermodels and best-selling authors. 

She advises clients in the U.S. and throughout the world on all aspects of public speaking, including message development for on-camera and print interviews, as well as for off-air presentations, such as TED Talks, major commencement addresses, keynote speeches and corporate conferences. In addition, she teaches the secrets to getting media coverage.

She is a 20-year media veteran and one of the few professionals in the business who has worked both behind the scenes and in front of the camera at the national level. During more than a decade working in television, Jillian produced live and taped shows for The Oprah Winfrey Show as well as for local, cable and network news, including CNN and ABC News. Jillian Straus brings unmatched expertise and a uniquely personal approach to one-on-one media coaching and consulting.

Equipped with an insider’s knowledge of TV production and her own experiences on air, Jillian provides her clients with rare insight into the media world. Her clients have appeared on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Fox News, CBS News and Bloomberg, to name a few. She is passionate about helping startups pitch both the media and investors. She serves as an adviser to the Harvard Business School StartUp Studio and the Entrepreneur Roundtable Association.

Jillian’s expertise is also distinguished by her experience as a published author. Her own book, Unhooked Generation, was published in multiple languages after a successful media campaign, which landed her on countless talk shows, in a variety of magazines and on other media outlets.

She holds a B.A. and an M.A. from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and lives in New York City with her family.
